Alfred Theodore Moore, 86, of Warren, passed away at home on Sunday, October 6, 2019 after an extended illness. Alfred was born June 8, 1933, in Warren, to the late Floyd Solomon and Mary (Selander) Moore. Alfred was a 1951 graduate of Warren High School and attended Eastern Nazarene College. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, in France and North Africa. Alfred was a former member of the Warren Barbershop Chorus and the Spokesman Gospel Quartet. He was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church and a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Choir. He displayed his strong faith in Jesus Christ. He enjoyed numerous hobbies including singing at Nursing Homes and various churches. He was also a former Scout Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Alfred retired after working at the National Forge for over 30 years. Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helena (Marquis) Moore; his sons, Floyd W. Moore, of Warren; Benjamin T. (Cathy) Moore, of Mechanicsburg; Jonathan E. (Diane) Moore, of Mesilla Park, N.M.; Joel M. Moore, of Nashville, TN.; his daughter, Tina A. Moore, of Warren; his granddaughter, Megan L. Moore; his grandsons, Alex; and Austin Moore; his sister, Agnes (Roger) McFarland; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Alfred is preceded in death by sons Teddy, 1957 and Todd, 1968; sisters Ruth Wiggins, Dorothy Clark; Edith Ruhl; Polly Fitzgerald; Ida Fitzgerald; and brother Paul F. Moore. Friends will be received from 5-7 pm, on Friday, October 11, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365, and an hour before the funeral, which will be held at 11am, at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Pennsylvania Ave E, Warren, PA 16365 on Saturday, October 12, 2019, with Rev. J. Maier and Rev. Bill Beatty, pastors, co-officiating. A reception will follow in the church parlor.
