Obituary

Albert “Andy” A. Bonavita Jr. "Moose", 72, of Warren passed away on August 18, 2026. Albert was born to the late Albert Andrew Bonavita Sr. and Barbara D. Kemery on December 7, 1953.

Andy graduated from Warren Area High School in 1972, but his working career started far before that at the age of 12. Andy was always a hard worker. He worked various jobs over the years at places like Guiffre’s Market and Sylvania. He owned a storefront on the East Side of Warren, Andy’s Bar, and most recently a barbershop in his home in Pleasant Township. He also worked as a home-health aide for Lakeshore Community Services Inc., where he was greatly appreciated for his hard work, dedication, and kindness with his consumers.

Andy married his wife, Deana “Ding” Bonavita, on June 14, 2005, she survives at home.

Andy truly was loved by all and made an effort to always go the extra mile. He coached his son, Jarrod’s, little league team and always took them to DQ following the games. Andy had a huge heart, even volunteering to drive cancer patients to their treatments in Erie, PA, or Pittsburgh, PA. He loved learning and could never stop moving. If he had the time to do it, he would make sure it happened. Andy will be missed by all who knew him.

Andy is survived by his wife, his son; Jarrod Bonavita, his sister Holly Ann (Mike Fiscus) Bonavita, and several nieces and nephews.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph Lee “Joey” Bonavita.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. Visitation will take place from 10am-11am on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with a memorial service to follow at 11am, at First Presbyterian Church, 300 Market St. Warren, PA 16365.
