To the friends and family of Sharon Spade,

We would like to thank you for coming to show your condolences and love for our mother and grandmother.  Finding the right words to say in this situation is always difficult and given these unique circumstances it’s even more so.   While we would have liked to join you in person to pay our respects we were not able to arrive in time given the short notice we received.  While we know that Peterson and Blick will do their best to make our mother/grandmother shine, it makes us smile knowing how much she loved to look her best and  we remember how she loved to appear to others.   It makes us smile knowing that her and our father/grandfather are again reunited.  She also loved Sadie (her golden retriever) so much, and as we know, all dogs go to heaven.

We recognize this is a difficult time for many people.  We would have liked the opportunity to attend the service to gain closure and fully grieve this loss; however, we can seek comfort knowing that those connected to her are saying goodbye and honoring her life.  Gathering with you all would have allowed us to fully pay respect to our mother/grandmother, but please know we are respecting her in our own manner.  She had conveyed several wishes and we have done our best to honor them throughout the past several years and currently.

Terribly sorry for your loss. Sharon is now rejoicing with her Heavenly Father. I recall her as a beautiful, warm woman when she attended the First Church of God. May God grant you His peace as you remember happy times with her. Psalm 116:15.
