|My Condolences to Hilda’s Family .
I had the pleasure of being in Kinzua Golden Living for Rehab . I was there for only a month , during that month Hilda and I got close. I’d sit and talk and listen to every word she said , and when she couldn’t remember I’d help her . She would look outside and say she was waiting for the snow. We would go listen to the music and Hilda would tap her feet and. Toes. She would sing along knowing every word . She’d smack my hand , lol , and said that’s not the way to tap your hand look I’ll show you . When Hilda got ornery I’d go get her and calm her down with sugar free shortbread cookie. She came to understand
I’d give her cookies , so she’d come rolling in my room saying loudly Helloooooo everyday to watch tv and get her cookie . She’d ask for a hug and I’d hug her so tightly she’d whisper to me , I love ya honey , now that’s enough.
I asked her if she wanted to take a selfie with me she said what’s that so I showed her , and she pointed to me in the picture and asked who’s that grumpy old man , lol ! Then she was amazed to see her picture on my I pad .
I’m very sorry for the loss of your Mother , Gramma . I will never forget our connection.
