Debbie was my first friend when my family moved to Warren's south side in 1965. She convinced my parents to send me to St. Joe's with her for 8th grade instead of to Beaty. We rode our bikes everywhere, played hour after hour of badminton in my driveway, goofed off at the playground. She helped me acclimate to a new neighborhood and a new school. After graduation, we lost touch. I'm sorry to have re-encountered her this way. Wishing peace to her and to the family.
