I was a bus driver on the North South route for 6 years and met your Mama. I came to appreciate her as I got to know her a little bit. We always greeted with a smile, and after I retired, I always gave her a big hug when I ran into her. I'm sure you will miss her sweet smile. Sending a prayer for your family in your loss.

Passing on my condolences to Jim, Joe, and Jianna. I remember first coming to your house when I was in high school and remember how my first impression was how beautiful she was with that classic Italian look. I often spoke to her when I saw her on Conewango or at Tops. She is certainly now one of God's angels. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Jim Vile,

You probably don't know me. I was born and raised in Sheffield. I knew your mother from grade school (Lincoln) and High School. We both graduated in the class of 1957. I also knew your Dad from many activities in High School. I was sorry to hear of his passing also.

Your mother was a sincere, kind and wonderful person. We always seemed to have fun in our many activities during our school years. I was very saddened to hear of her passing and send my sincere condolences to you and your family. I was always hoping to see her at our many reunions we have had. God Bless.

Dear James, Joseph, & Jianna,

I am writing to share my heartfelt condolences for the passing of your beloved mother, Marian. Dan Lavorini, our mutual cousin, was so kind to inform me of the passing of our Aunt Marian. I am the younger of your mother's brother, Leo Fornari's, two daughters, Patti & Lana.

Growing up in Miami, Florida, I did not get many opportunities to spend time with my "two young aunts", Aunt Toni and Aunt Marian. However, I do very well remember how very loving and wonderful both your mother and Aunt Toni were to me and my sister on our occasional summer visits with our parents to our Grandma Julia's and Grandpa Mike's house. My father, Leo, always talked fondly of his two "little sisters" and my sister, Patti, and I always referred to them as our "young aunts". Even though my father, Leo, along with our Uncle Arnie and Aunt Rose did not share the same father in common & went by different last names as your mother or Aunt Toni, we never heard either of them referred as anything less than full sisters to my father or full aunts to us. Also to us, although our Aunt Marian and Aunt Toni had their own special personalities and impressed us as individuals, we just always lovingly thought of them as "Aunt Marian & Aunt Toni" or the other way around. Because of the geographic distance between us, we all never had the opportunity to really get to know each other cousins, but I want each of you to know that you have been very close in my spirit and heart ever since I heard the sad news of your mother, my "aunt Marian's', passing.

Lana Fornari Hopkins
