Patricia Mae Suppa passed away at the Rouse Home with her daughters and husband at her bedside on April 20, 2020. She fought a brave battle against cancer for 18 months. She was born in Warren on March 17, 1933, the daughter of Byron Glenn and Eva Sheckler Hamm. A lifelong resident of Warren, she graduated in 1951 from Warren High School. She married James Suppa on May 9, 1953. A lover of travel, reading, the Pittsburgh Steelers, beating everyone she ever played at cards, spending winters with Jim on Hutchinson Island, FL, and family vacations to the Outer Banks, she will be forever remembered for her young, fun and independent spirit. Surviving her are her husband James and her two daughters, Terri Whitehead and husband Randy, and Carrie Corbran and husband Jon, all of Warren. She was a beloved nana to her grandchildren Carly Scatton and husband Eric of Doylestown, PA, Amy Peters and husband Chris of Fredonia, NY, Joshua Corbran and wife Alli of Pittsburgh, PA, Eric Whitehead of San Francisco, CA and great-grandson Kai Peters. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Virgil, who died in infancy, and Wayne Hamm and his wife Sandra, as well as her brother-in-law Richard Suppa and his wife Durelle. A private celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of her family at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home. Following her cremation, she will be buried at the Warren County Memorial Park. Donations in her memory may be made to Paws Along the River, Warren Public Library or St. John’s Lutheran Church.

I was so sorry to see this sad news. It was always such a joy to give her a little encouragement when she came to the Cancer Center while I was volunteering. She kept a positive attitude despite her illness. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those who loved her so much.
