David G. Fry, 62, of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully at home with his family on December 27, 2019, after a year long illness. David was born July 4, 1957, in Williamsport PA to the late Frank and Ruth (Stoker) Fry. He also lived in Bangor, Maine and Russell, PA before settling in Warren, PA. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1976. He enjoyed playing football and was proud to see his grandson, Michael, follow in his footsteps as an Eisenhower Knight. He married Donna (Savko) Fry on May 7, 1977 in Warren, PA. They had two children, Becky and Jeffrey. He tragically lost his son Jeffrey on September 8, 2003 and his life was forever changed. He worked for Sylvania for several years before beginning his lifelong career at Betts Industries. He retired in 2019 after 34 years of employment. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His greatest years were those spent sharing those hobbies with his son. He also enjoyed camping and boating with his family when his children were young. His greatest blessings were his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and the Sugar Grove AmVets where he enjoyed going to visit with friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna (Savko) Fry, his daughter Becky Stewart, and her husband Jacob Stewart, his 3 grandchildren Nicholas, Michael and Emilie Jones all of Russell, PA, and also his former son-in-law, William Jones, Sugar Grove, PA. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Gary (Judy) Fry of Sugar Grove, PA and James Fry of Monroe, ME and 1 sister, Helen (Gordon) Haerer of Port Orange, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents; and his son, Jeffrey Michael Fry. Friends will be received from 10-11 AM, on Monday, December 30, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. So sorry for the loss of Dave. Just saw you recently, when you were busy consoling me, when I should have been consoling you. I didnt realize how bad Dave had gotten, I should have realized when you mention he sold the Mustang. Didnt know him or you well, but you both were always so friendly it was always like we knew each other forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you now an in the coming days. He will be missed. Think that's what I miss most about retirement, missing my customer friends. Take care my friend❤❤😭😭😭
