I was blessed with a beautiful relationship with beautiful person. During my teen years, Shirlie provided me with a home and treated me as her own. Like so many, I was blessed to be seen by Shirlie through the eyes of love, something I had not really ever experienced. Because of her love, I was able to flourish and become the person I am. I will so very much miss being able to visit Shirlie and enjoy conversation and experience a sense of welcome. Much love and condolences to her daughters, family and friends. Prayers for peace and comfort from knowing Shirlie continues her journey and that she lived a beautiful life here that blessed so many.

Ms. Kauffman taught me piano through middle school and high school. I still play today and even have several music books she gave me. Thirty years later she still stands out as one of my greatest teachers, along with my undergraduate college advisor and a grad school professor. Ms. Kauffman gave the gift of art and music to so many. I played this morning in her memory. My condolences to her family. Her joy and gifts live on through all her students everywhere.

My deepest sympathies to Adrienne and Shannon, and to all of the family and friends of Shirlie. She was a special lady with so many gifts and talents. I am privileged to have been a part of her life when she and I shared our passion for beautiful fashion, styling and fabrics. What a wonderful surprise to see her at the Forester Restaurant on Mother's Day! I cherish the memories.

My most sincere condolences. May God give you strength and comfort in this difficult time (Philippians 4:6,7). He does promise us a beautiful hope for the future at Acts 24:15 and Revelation 21:3,4.
