Roscoe Allen Knapp, 90, of Clarendon, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Roscoe was born on January 19, 1929, to the late Roscoe and Nina (Abbott) Knapp. Roscoe was 1947 graduate of Warren High School and studied Ministry for 5 years in Washington D.C. He was a former United Methodist Minister at many locations. Roscoe was a dedicated member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed drawing Disney characters and watching John Wayne movies. Roscoe loved the outdoors, especially camping. He loved watching all sports with his favorite NFL team being the Cleveland Browns. He adored his family and enjoyed all the time he could spend with them. Roscoe is survived by his children, Debra Knapp, of Jamestown, NY, Randy (Jan) Knapp, of St. Cloud, FL, Dave Knapp, of Havelock, NC, Jim Knapp, of Wellsville, NY, and Bruce Knapp, of NC; his Uncle Frank Knapp, of Warren, PA; his siblings, Thomas (Dorothy) Knapp, of Sugar Grove, PA, Arden “Bucky” (Linda) Knapp, of Warren, PA, Karen (Milton) Johnson, of Scandia, PA and Evelyn Jones, of Richmond, VA; his first wife, Mary Jane Bennett-Swanson, of Lakewood, NY; his 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; his second wife, Lillian (Snow) Knapp; his third wife, Helen (Sweitzer) Knapp; his daughter, Trudy Knapp; his brother, Dennis Knapp and his grandson, Justin Knapp. There will be a Graveside Service at 1 pm at the Bear Lake Cemetery on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, with Rev. Bill Beatty, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1600 Peninsula Dr. Suite 15, Erie, PA 16505.

Hi everyone, Your Dad & Brother Rocky will be missed very much. I will miss him greatly, but we all know where he is right now, IN THE HANDS OF OUR LORD & GOD. He will still follow serving as he done with us on this earth. Praise him for me on Tuesday. I am in North Carolina. Love you all, Bless all of you as you say Goodbye. We know he is in good hands.

Rocky will be missed so very much. I enjoyed the past two years I’ve spent taking care of him:) His sweet voice, contagious laugh, gentle smile, and beautiful singing voice is missed very much. May he Rest In Peace!
