Daniel Jerome Clavin, 73, formerly of Warren, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Snyder Memorial Home of Marienville, PA after an extended illness.  Daniel was born November 12, 1943, in St. Paul, MN, the son of the late Edward Jerome and Ann M. (Ullman) Clavin.

Daniel served in the US Army from 1964 to 1967, where he was stationed at the Pentagon.  He enjoyed country music and was an avid sports fan.  His favorite teams were the Vikings and Twins.  After living in Pennsylvania for some time, he also became a fan of the Pirates and Steelers.

He is survived by his daughter, Trish Ewalt, her husband, Matt, and grandson, Connor, of Jamestown, NY; and close friends -- Nancy Clavin, John McGarry, Craig and Pat Esterbrook and Kathy Mahoney.

A private interment service will be held in the Veterans' section of Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA.

I'm very sorry for your loss and wanted to send my heartfelt sympathy. I personally find comfort in God's promise of a resurrection of our loved ones at John 5:28,29. We have the opportunity to see our loved ones again under the beautiful conditions described at Psalms 37:10,11. I hope these scriptures bring you some peace during your difficult time.
