Terry Lee Caldwell, 69, of Warren, died suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at his home.  Terry was born September 16, 1948, in Warren, PA. He is the son of Edna (Sullivan) Caldwell, of Edinboro, and the late Robert Caldwell.

Terry was a 1966 graduate of Youngsville High School and attended Edinboro University before enlisting in the US Navy.  He served as a Chief Machinist Mate for six years and then served in the US Navy Reserves for an additional 14 years.

He was employed by Chicago Bridge & Iron Company (CBI) as a Senior Cost Estimator, from which he never planned to retire, as he loved working so much.  His love of work also included meticulously detailing cars and working on projects in-and-around his home with his dogs.  He was a member of the Joseph Warren Lodge #726 Free and Accepted Masons.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Kay Lynn (Schaffer) Caldwell; and two daughters, Tracy Weaver, and her husband, Jeff, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kelly Caldwell, and her companion, Matt Colvin, of Warren; one sister, Shirley, of Edinboro; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Ray.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Monday, April 2, for one hour prior to a memorial service to be held there at 11 a.m., with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.  Military honors will be presented by members of the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution should consider Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607; or Paws Along the River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.

We all worked with Terry at PDM and CBI. When they closed the Des Moines office, we moved on to another tank company. We may not have always worked together, but we will always be family. We loved Terry and he will be missed.

With deepest sympathy,
Matt Clark, Carter Spoelstra, Maria Bowman (Wadle), Shelly Hitt, Donita Fredricks, Cam Kirkpatrick, Dave Malmquist and Jim McCombs

I am deeply saddened by Terry's passing and wish to extend my condolences to his family. I have many fond memories of working with and interacting with Terry dating back to 1974 when I joined the PDM Team. He was a true professional and a wonderful person.

Please accept my condolences, I am very sorry for your loss. Terry was a good man and a good friend. He will be greatly missed.

It has been my pleasure to work very closely with him over the last 5 years. I spent many hours on the phone going over the estimates he produced & many more just shooting the breeze. He was a one of a kind person with many stories to tell and many more that needed telling. I am saddened by the fact that when I look at the phone I will no longer see his name on the caller I.D.

I salute you Terry Caldwell. Thank you for your service to our country, for being in my universe and for being such a fierce fierce friend. I will see you on the flip side.
