Joan E. Froman, 79, of Warren, Pa., passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at Rouse Home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Joan was born February 25, 1933, in Oil Creek, PA, and raised in Tidioute, the daughter of the late Guy and Ann Rugglis Corliss. She loved nature, especially watching animals and feeding ducks. Joan also enjoyed family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy Froman, Warren, PA, Karen Lyon, and husband, John, also of Warren, PA and Cindy Nelson, and husband, Donald, Pittsfield, PA; one son, William Froman, Warren, PA; five grandchildren, Alicia Anthony, and husband, Steven, Kayla Haines, Susan Jones, and husband, Andy, Joshua Lyon and wife, Kara, and Courtney Froman; three great-grandchildren, Dale, Lilly, and Logan; one step-great-grandson; one sister, Mary Pierce, Warren, PA; one brother, Willard Archer, and wife, Norma; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1983 by her husband, William B. Froman; and a brother, William Corliss.
Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Friday, December 28, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain of Rouse Home and Warren General Hospital, officiating.
